Professor Ilya Sinayskiy

Ilya is an Associate Professor of Physics at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. His fundamental research spans Quantum Computing, Quantum Machine Learning, Classical Machine Learning applied to quantum problems, Open Quantum Systems, and Quantum Optics. He earned his PhD (Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences) from Samara State University in Russia. In his applied research, Ilya focuses on real-world applications of quantum computing, including the development and integration of quantum-inspired algorithms and hybrid quantum-classical machine learning methods. He is deeply committed to academic mentorship and has guided numerous students in advancing their research and careers.
