Shivani Mahashakti Pillay

As the CEO of Fraqtal Technologies, Shivani is passionate about bridging the gap between research and real-world application—not only by developing impactful solutions, but also by making complex ideas accessible to non-technical audiences. She believes that innovation is most powerful when it is clearly communicated and widely understood, enabling organisations to confidently adopt new technologies and unlock their full potential. With a focus on developing technology that drives tangible value, she ensures that Fraqtal Technologies creates outcomes that benefit both clients and shareholders—supporting innovation, improving decision-making, and contributing to long-term growth.

At Fraqtal Technologies, she develops AI-powered tools that can be used to solve complex equations used in business and finance—such as those for pricing, forecasting and risk analysis—allowing business to simulate outcomes and make well-informed decisions.

Shivani is also a PhD candidate in Computer Science at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Her research focuses on the intersection of artificial intelligence and quantum computing, with a particular interest in how quantum computers can enhance AI methods and how AI can, in turn, be applied to solve problems in quantum computing.
